New Purchase: Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate.

Heard of Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate? .. Yes of course you have. This is by no means a newly launched product, in fact has been in the market for about 5 years now and boasts of numerous skincare awards. I am such a slave to highly-reviewed and talked about products, even if they don't always work for me the same way as reviewers/youtubers/bloggers claim it has on themselves.. I still fall for it.
[30ML Kiehl's Midnight Recovery Concentrate Serum - RRP £36]
There was a little stall today in the lobby of my office building (happens often, usually will have pop-up book stalls, beauty, Benefit cosmetics frequents us too) and they were doing 20% off. Now.. during Christmas period there were loads of these small discounts available for most brands but I really tried my hardest to resist! (like I said, I'm a slave to material goods basically) and I didn't touch anything from Kiehl's. My excuse is that today was a combination of my colleagues rooting me on and also.. payday darling.

[Watery, light consistency. Pipette is nice to use.]
After taking the first three pictures I remembered that I have other serums to compare to, so will be a good exercise after all. I put off buying the Kiehl's serum for so long because of the price and whether I felt like I needed a posh-nosh serum anyway... my skin isn't very high maintenance, shouldn't I just leave it for when I'm closer to my golden years to splash out in desperate attempts to clutch at my youth? Not sure if that is even logical at all but I was thinking that. But I am waiting for miracle workers, I want to actually feel something from my skincare. I want that glowing skin that this little bottle promises!

[Lancome Advanced Genifique Youth Activating Serum - The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum/Oil - Kiehl's MRC]

First Impressions:

- I enjoy the smell of the Kiehl's serum a lot to begin with, it's very spa-like and therapeutic, after rubbing in the smell takes on something similar to the vitamin E serum though. Not unpleasant, the oil-scent is just more prominent.
- Sinks in fairly quickly, leaves skin feeling quite smooth
- Pipette is nice to use
- Fave consistency of all 3 though so far is Lancome. I love this stuff, it's a bit more gloopy (technical term) and cloudy but it smells lovely and sinks in within seconds of even touching your skin. If Kiehl's is not the one I've got my eye on full-sized Lancome!

I hope to come back with a raving review for this one! Have you used Kiehl's before? Let me know what you think of this serum!
