The Tuesday after Easter

Oh Tuesday. After the long Easter weekend has waved us goodbye today seems to me a bit like the first day back after Christmas. Don't get me wrong, work wasn't awful, but I'd much rather be lying in bed. So I did find myself watching minutes tick by at slow points in the day. Not that my Easter was very eventful though, as I soon realised when colleagues asked after how I spent the last few days. "Err.. Let me think. Actually I think I just slept a lot."

I masked some of my un-productivity by saying I did some much needed work on my uni assignment. Not a lie, but I really didn't do as much as I should've considering the deadline is pressing ever closer. The struggle to take this assignment seriously.. I'm working 9-6 five days a week for a year goddammit why do I have to complete about 3 more pieces of work? What kind of shit is this can't my reflective journal just say it all?? *rages*

I made spaghetti bolognese today, it's been a while but I think me and Ted are making a semi-conscious effort to eat out less and save a bit more money. Reality is he doesn't really need to save but he's just along for the penny-saving ride, since I'm doing it. I can't help my cravings though, namely Pho, KFC, Pizza Hut and Pepe's Piri Chicken. Got to treat yourself sometimes..

Only other thing I did this evening was edit my 7th Japan vlog. This video has us going to Tsukiji Fish market.. And there's just a lot to say. I've added so many extra little bits like pictures, extra text, extra effects just because we were so enthusiastic about that day. Had a lot to share.. So look forward to that. It's funny because even though I've been splitting all my days into parts we still manage to fill up 10 minute videos. I'm glad for all the content though, I like to make more vlogs. 

I guess final news of the day is that I'm not going to Spain anymore with my friends. I guess it was getting a bit last minute with the booking and I think I was a tad bit of a pessimist because of the timing and costs. My bad! It was for my friend's birthday.. Which is the 2nd to last week of my internship. Taking 5 days off there just seemed not ideal for me. Luckily it was other reasons too and everyone mutually agreeing really, I wasn't the only one being booked up for summer already. I'm quite relieved, and hoping we can pick this up next year instead when 3 of us will graduate, we'll have more planning time and I'll have more time to save for it. In the meantime we can easily make little trips elsewhere too. I'll be seeing them this Friday after long last, sometimes life really gets in the way and before I know it I've not seen these girls in months. But I'm super looking forward to a girl's night out.

Other than that, nothing new really. I'm still sleeping late. It's 1:25am and way past my bedtime. But it's easier to tap away on my phone for a blog post, and there's something about night time that brings more words out of you. Goodnight from me.
