A day out in London

So last night Ted said to me.. "shall we go central tomorrow?" and I was pretty astounded since he can be a real hermit and hates making trips "all the way out to central". He wanted to go to COS so yeah I happily agreed, ironic thing was that he told me to make sure we don't leave too late but he was the nightmare to get out of bed in the morning! Anyways.

My look for today:
On the face: Chanel poudre universelle libre, Collection eyeshadow pencils vanilla sky/hot chocolate, Collection colour lash clear, Maybelline eye studio gel eyeliner, Maybelline the eraser eye concealer, Lancome hyponose mascara, Rimmel eyebrow pencil dark brown, Becca eyeshadow in Tweed, Dr Jart water fuse BB cream, MUA luxe lip lacquer in Dare
Real mix of high end and super cheap, I like both but love my affordable makeup too. Does what it's supposed to do and it's cheap and cheerful.

Special Mentions:
- Maybelline concealer is my bae. I love this concealer! I rarely repurchase since it takes me so long to use something up anyway and after that I move onto my next fancy. But this concealer keeps me coming back, lightweight but perfect coverage, doesn't crease (!!!), great match for my skin and already dries to satin finish. Love you.
- MUA luxe lip lacquers, if you love bold colours TRY THIS. The formula is very commendable and the price point is only £3! It dries matte on the lips and wears very decently. It doesn't budge or transfer, by drying matte I mean it dries dry. Great dupes for Limecrime Velvetines.

Collection pencils on the lid, blend of becca tweed on outer corner and sweeping over to middle. Gel eyeliner wing, mascara. Oh hey I forgot to include blush and contour. That'll be Nars Orgasm and Sleek contour in Medium. MUA Dare on lips.

Was going to wear dark purple lips today but I'm so pale right now I looked gothic..

When you work 9-5 five days a week with the bare minimum of makeup, plus jumper, jeans, same coat and shoes every day ... then you will take any chance to go all out appearance-wise. This is the case with me.. I love love my bright bold lip colours but I don't wear anything to work because it's pretty pointless, don't get me wrong of course you should look nice for work but I have yet to find a low maintenance lip colour that's going to last me about 6 hours no fuss no problems. I just about have time to blot midday, I really don't want to worry about lipstick. I love playing with eyeshadow so when I get to go out on the weekend I make an extra effort!

Snood: markets, jacket: allsaints, bag: zara, jeans: h&m, top which you cannot see: h&m
So we took a wander around regent street/oxford street area mainly. It was only when I went into Topshop that I couldn't help myself. God I know I only said yesterday I would stop shopping but you know when you just absolutely connect with something in the shop you just can't let it go! It's destiny, you must understand. (this is happening to me way too often lately though.)

Today Orelia jewellery strikes. I already know I love their jewellery - namely their dinky necklaces but in the Oxford street Topshop I was blown away! The Orelia section here is huge!

I wanted everything...

I picked up two things after much consideration, and when Ted came downstairs (probably should've just stayed with him in Topman, then these things wouldn't happen) I showed him the jewellery and my picks, but sobbed about not wanting to spend after yesterday. He was going to buy me a Pandora ring today since my Valentines flowers never arrived (I am a lucky girl I know already) but suggested just buying me a couple of pieces from here instead, since they were much nicer to be honest. So yay! These were the pieces I bought.

£12.00
I vaguely had in my mind recently that I wanted some studs to just keep in my ears all the time. I liked these because they were a cloudy kind of crystal, but had been cut so that you can see all the little facets clearly. Very pretty! Teardrop shape too so was a little different.

£15.00
Ted picked out this little ring, it's made to be a midi ring in one size, think this would fit fine (maybe slightly loose) on my middle finger, but perfectly as a standard ring on my right ring finger. I think I might do that since it's so pretty and I have small fingers anyway so I don't want it to fall off.

£12.00

Oh this one really caught my eye. It's a teeny little constellation, I have no idea of what (tell me if you do lol) so at first I thought there would be different versions for the zodiac signs. But it was just the one, still I was immediately in love and couldn't let go. There's just something so sweet about it. I try to hold myself back from buying loads of delicate/small necklaces though because I already wear one permanently and rarely switch out, but some are just too nice to pass up. So yay! Thank you Ted, all the pieces will be well-loved.

From top to bottom: com bi cha thit nuong, bo la lot, nem nuong, pho bo (beef). Hot soya milk, iced lemon tea.
After Ted did his shopping (he was a happy bunny too, after buying a jacket that fit his search criteria, new trainers also in his search criteria) we went off to eat dinner, possibilities were endless since we both hadn't eaten and were starving out of our brains (it was 7pm, lorddd I know.) ideas bounced from expensive sushi (I suggested not, since we're off to Japan soon), Gaucho steak, Korean, Vietnamese and hotpot. I would've been happy with any of those but I have a serious addiction weakness for Pho. There is literally no situation I would not be up for it, I would eat two dinners if it meant I could eat Pho. So I was happy indeed, "with extra noodles please" kind of happy. We ate in VIET in Soho, Greek Street, our London viet joint of choice. Pho is a bit of a commodity these days, but it's the other dishes that most can't get right. I really commend this place for it's authenticity. God I could eat this all over again.

Today happened to also be our 40 months together as it were. February only has 28 days so I guess it counts as today, we didn't set out to celebrate today but actually was a very nice little date since Ted was in a shopping mood and we shopped around everywhere, plus he'd had enough sleep so wasn't grouchy! We got lots done, and had my favourite food hehe. All in all a super enjoyable day.
